I am happy to present my third take on pencil puzzle/sudoku hybrid, today introducing Heyawake! :-)
I hope you will enjoy and I would be really grateful for all the comments and ratings.
Chaos construction: Divide the grid into nine orthogonally connected nine-cell regions, draw their borders, and place the digits 1 to 9 once in each row, column, and region.
White region dots: Digits in cells joined by a white dot are consecutive and belong to the same region.
Black region dots: Digits in cells joined by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio (i.e., one digit will be double the other) and belong to different regions.
Circles: Digits in circles indicate how many cells of their own region including themselves they see orthogonally (region borders block vision). Each circle belongs to a different region.
Heyawake: Shade some cells so that no two shaded cells are orthogonally adjacent and the remaining unshaded cells form one orthogonally connected area. There cannot be a horizontal or vertical line of unshaded cells that goes through 2 or more region borders.
Squares: Digits in squares indicate how many cells of their own region including themselves are shaded. Each square belongs to a different region.
Shaded cells: Three [red] shaded cells in the grid have been given. Digits in the remaining shaded cells are greater than at least 2 their orthogonal neighbours (the rule does not apply to given [red] shaded cells).
Heyawake Explanation:
You can see on the example above how heyawake works. You can also try to play an example here or a big 9x9 heyawake here before you solve the sudoku. Rules are also explained here.
If you liked this puzzle, I recommend trying out my other puzzles: The Erica Series:Solution code: Third (3rd) row of the grid from left to right with shaded cells in brackets "()" and the symbol "/" marking borders between regions, e.g., 1(2)/3/4(5)6/7/(8)9.

That was really tough, but pretty fun. Took me a solid two hours! I like how the different puzzle types kept assisting each other all the way to the end.
