Liesl does Oil and Water

Oil and Water Puzzle Pack

VIII : Liesl does Oil and Water

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Each cage is either full of "oil" (even digits), full of "water" (odd digits), or a mix of both. In all cases, each "row" within a cage is of just one type (oil or water). Oil floats on water, so even digits will always be in rows above odd digits in mixed cages.

Digits in cages do not repeat.

Digits along lines sum to either 16 or 17.

Loved the theme, and the slow process of untangling all those cages was very fun!

I laughed when I read the rules! Very cute and great use of AI in the image too :)

Played water and oil after long time. Good and nice construction. I like clever the breakout.

Really satisfying. Having gotten used to some general logic for oil and water over the past puzzles, this felt very accessible to me. Thank you for setting blobz!

Sum lines are quite constrained. Pair hunting is a bit tricky, but for me on the top half of 2 stars as well as no advance techinques are needed for solving this puzzle, just a bit of patience.

Agree with Snookerfan, 2* for me as well.
Maybe I'm just really used to the O&W intricacies (because it's one of my favourite series and I've solved them all).
Thank you, Blobz.

Had to come back to this with fresh eyes a couple times when I got stuck, but I had a blast during the entire process.

it's amazing, I played now the nine Oil and Water puzzles essentially in a row, and still at the very beginning I think "oh no.. now this cannot be split into water and oil nicely" and stare at the puzzle for a moment too long just to realise what I missed...
To me personally this was easier than the "Knights 2", still a very fun puzzle to solve.

Had to do this puzzle after seeing the name of it. I just named my new kitten Liesl.

Ah, that lovely moment at the very end when all those 1/3 pairs from early on resolved. Thank you!
