About This Puzzle
This is the seventh edition of "Dazed Out", a puzzle series primarily built around the Sudoku variant "Chaos Construction". Now introducing liar clues! This puzzle was inspired by
Myxo
's
"Bread and Pie"
, check that out if you like the rule set.
RULES
-
1.
Divide the grid into 9 regions that all consist of 9 orthogonally connected cells each. Place the digits 1-9 in every row, column and region once each.
-
2.
Clues outside of the grid in black are sandwich sums clues. A sandwich clue indicates the sum of the digits sandwiched between 1 and 9 in their row or column. Additionally, in rows and columns that have a Sandwich clue, all the digits between the 1 and 9 (if there are any) must be in the same region, and the 1 and 9 must not belong to that region.
-
3.
Clues outside of the grid in dark red indicate the sum of the digits in their row/column that are in regions which don't touch any edges of the grid.
-
4.
For each row and column with a clue, 1 of the 2 given clues must be a liar clue, and is fully or partially wrong.
Solution code: Digits in Row 3 with dashes (/) for region borders.

That was a great puzzle. The non-grid-touching regions was a twist I haven't seen before.
.proxz14's response: That "non grid-touching" rule is the exact part I took inspiration from Myxo's puzzle, you can also check out their puzzle if you want to see that.

Damn... what a blast.
I was staring at that thing for 20 minutes thinking "how are you even supposed to do anything with that ?"
2 hours of surprisingly smooth logic later, here I am !
Thanks :D
