only love can save us

(Published on 15. September 2025, 21:21 by aqjhs)

This puzzle was made for Scojo's 2025 impostor setting challenge, where each participant prepared a puzzle in their own style and later prepared a puzzle in someone else's style to have the public compare them and guess the real setter. I made one puzzle for it and I had the honor of having MathGuy_12 make an impostor puzzle.

This is one of those puzzles, the other puzzle is "wanna double dutch?".

But who's the real me!? (Tell us in the hidden comments. No spoilers please.)

  • Divide the grid into ten orthogonally connected regions and place the digits 0 to 9 once each in every row, column and region.
  • Cells marked with the same shape (circles or squares) have different digits and belong to different regions.
  • Cells marked with letters have the same digit if and only if they have the same letter. Only letters from the title are used.
  • The clue outside the grid is a cipher x-sum: it indicates a two-digit number that is the sum of the first N digits in the direction of the clue where N is the first digit seen in the row. Letters follow the same correspondence as those inside the grid.
  • Cells joined by a white dot have consecutive digits and are in different regions. All possible dots satisfying both conditions are given.
  • Lines are palindromes: their digits read the same in either direction.
