...the rest is for you to discover

(Published on 18. July 2025, 08:39 by aqjhs)

So Flinty kindly asked for puzzles with meaningful given digits but they had to have fog...

  • Divide the grid into ten orthogonally connected regions and place the digits 0 to 9 once each in every row, column and region.
  • A given digit shows the number of cells in the same region that are seen in all four orthogonal/diagonal directions, including itself. Region borders do not break sight.
  • The grid is partially covered with (dynamic) fog, placing correct digits may clear some cells. No guessing is required.
  • Digits joined by a white dot are consecutive.
  • ...and the rest is for you to discover.

I solved the puzzle "correctly" but do not understand the logic of [REDACTED]. It seems I drew my regions incorrectly in the top right half of the puzzle, but even after getting the correct digits I still cannot correctly draw my regions. Did I catch something or am I missing something?
