Mostly Harmless: Western Spiral Arm
(Eingestellt am 11. September 2026, 00:15 Uhr von AaronH)
"Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun. Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-two million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue green planet whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea."
The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Rules
- Sudoku: Fill the grid with digits 1-9 so that no digit repeats in any row, column or 3×3 box.
- Dynamic Fog: The grid is covered with fog; entering correct digits may clear fog elsewhere, and no guessing is required. Any visible line segments and partial markings continue and connect beneath the fog. Unless revealed, no extra clues should be assumed to exist under the fog.
- Inequality: The small unregarded yellow sun is a bigger digit than the utterly insignificant little blue green planet.
All following variant clues use their standard meanings - full descriptions are provided below.
- Palindrome: Digits along a grey line read the same forwards and backwards. The grey dot marks the centre of the line.
- Black Dots: A black dot connects two digits where one is exactly double the other.
- Nabner: Along a yellow line, no two digits anywhere on the line may be consecutive.
- Region Sum Lines: Box borders divide a blue line into segments each with the same sum.
- Renban: Along a pink line, digits form a consecutive set in any order
- German Whispers: Along a green line, adjacent digits differ by at least 5.
- X sums: An X connects two digits that sum to 10.
- V sums: A V connects two digits that sum to 5.
- Don’t Panic!: No guessing is required - you are one hoopy frood.

Lots of fun, maybe a little easier than 2 star. I wish the rating system here allowed for partial stars.

I wasn't sure from the wording if the rules were indicating negative constraints, so I had to rule that out by clearing fog. Loving this series though.
AaronH: Thanks for the comment. Just to make it clear for others, no negative constraint in this puzzle. (When those are required, my rules state so explicitly and I have started also using visual reminders on recent puzzles as well) :)
