I made this puzzle as a tribute to Prime Killers by DylanRay. Thank you for your professional advice and guidance, and for being there all along.
The title comes from the mini anime of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.
Rules:
- Normal Sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1–9 once each in every row, column, and 3x3 box.
- Diagonal: Digits must not repeat on the two main blue diagonals.
- Killer Cages: Digits within a dashed cage MAY repeat. The sum of the digits in each cage is indicated by the circle(s) in its top-left corner.
- Counting Circles: A digit in a circle indicates exactly how many circles contain that digit. Each circle must contain exactly one single-digit number. If a Killer Cage has two circles in its top-left corner, these circles form a two-digit number (read from left to right) that represents the total sum of the digits within that cage.
It's also solvable without the given digit, but the Sudoku part may be quite challenging.
Solution code: Row 6, nine digits in total, reading from left to right.

Lovely puzzle thank you. I think it’s hard, even with the notes I don’t realise I was sitting on eight nines for a while.
