Parity Fun 43

(Published on 22. August 2026, 10:00 by galium_odoratum)

This new rule combination allowed for some interesting interactions. Again, I would estimate the difficulty to be 2.5*. Have fun!

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Ambigious Dutch 5: If a 5 has either a 1 directly above it or a 9 directly below it (or both), it counts as an even digit for the purposes of this puzzle’s rules.

Parity-Pairs-Avoiding Cages: Within a cage, no digit may be orthogonally adjacent to another digit of the same parity that is also in that cage. Additionally, digits in a cage must sum to the total shown in the top-left corner, if given.

It was a quick start for me, but got a bit caught in the end. The typical reminder of the ruleset helped me. 2.5* for me felt right. Thank you for setting :)
