The Hobbit Puzzle Pack
XII : Smaug
Image with kind permission from Ted Nasmith
There he lay, a vast red-gold dragon, fast asleep; a thrumming came from his jaws and nostrils, and wisps of smoke, but his fires were low in slumber. Beneath him, under all his limbs and his huge coiled tail, and about him on all sides stretching away across the unseen floors, lay countless piles of precious things, gold wrought and unwrought, gems and jewels, and silver red-stained in the ruddy light.
Normal sudoku rules apply.
Begin by filling in the "Cliff Wall" labelled digits from the previous puzzle.
In cages, digits do not repeat, and sum to the small clue, if given.
A digit in an emerald (green) indicates how many emeralds contain that digit. A digit in a sapphire (blue) indicates how many sapphires contain that digit.

I stumbled a few times - that's my fault for being insufficiently cautious around a dragon!

Looks intimidating, but with a bit of patience and cleverness, it's very solvable!
Rather like a sleepy Smaug, I suppose.
