Fog Board Game
This is a Sudoku interpretation of the Board Game Ludo.
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
The small numbered coloured squares are Quadruples where the number in the square has to be assigned to one of the surrounding cells.
The Round coloured tokens must contain odd numbers.
Cells connected by a pink Renban line form a set of consecutive digits, in any order, without repeats.
Adjacent digits along an green German Whisper line must differ by at least 5.
Adjacent digits along an orange Dutch Whisper line must differ by at least 4.
Cells joined by an X sum to 10. Cells joined by a V sum to 5.
Digits joined by a white dot are consecutive. Cells joined by a black dot, one digit is double the other.
Not all Xs, Vs or dots are given.
Parts of the board are covered in fog. Placing the correct digits in all the revealed cells will lift more fog and reveal other cells.
Board Layout: The home yard area for each player - initially shown with no tokens - Grid Boxes 1, 3, 9 and 7. The starting square for each player - Blue R6C9, Red R9C4, Green R4C1 and Yellow R1C6. Playing spaces - the outer orthogonally connected cells of Grid boxes 2, 6, 8 and 4 cutting diagonally missing the 4 corner Grid box 5 cells. The Players Home column - coloured cells in R5 and C5 of Grid boxes 2, 6, 8 and 4. The Finishing Square - Grid box 5 cells 2, 6, 8 and 4.
A simplified board and set of Ludo rules - no six to start, no blocking and no returning to home yard.
The completed revealed board is a snapshot of the 1st and 7th moves for 1 token of each player.

Nice puzzle, but I wish I'd known that I didn't have to spend time internalizing Ludo rules to solve it. I kept re-reading the board layout section, but couldn't make heads or tails of it.

OK i didnt know how to solve the 4 > 8,9 other than FAR lookahead which basically felt guessing, am i missing something?
pagedo: @_odinh - I assume you are talking about the 4 on the Dutch Whisper next to the 89 candidates. Pencil marking and resolving foggy grid boxes 2, 4, 6 and 8 will resolve that cell.

I enjoyed the previous rendition of a board game more than this cause I’m not familiar with Ludo and it felt like it jumped to the end kinda fast. There was more steps in the other one.

A fog picture puzzle, it seems! I don't know what Ludo is, but it seems I don't need to in order to solve this with ease.

sadly no deductions using ludo mechanics were required to solve this. very pretty puzzle

Nice work, well done. I love it if a suduko tells a story. Sadly this story didn't contribute to the solving of the puzzle. But who cares? :-)

Nice GAS fog puzzle, but I have no idea what all the ludo references are for. Everything from "Board Layout:" onwards has no information required to solve the puzzle. I'm assuming it all must mean something for Ludo enthusiasts, but for everyone else, its just confusing.
