Here’s yet another special one, and for which some context seems appropriate. – Like many here I’m sure, I discovered Cracking the Cryptic in 2021 during the pandemic, but for me, it was one of Simon's trademark mistypes, a zero, that led me to create my first puzzle – which I intended to be my only one, hoping it would get featured and inspire others to use the ruleset

Neither happened, but the great feedback I got encouraged me to create another, and continue from there. Fast forward a bit, and I begun putting a lot of efforts over on Discord, to the point of reaching 100 of these Doppelgangers set (including the smaller ones of course), and what is offered here was the 100th special. It was created as both a milestone celebration and a tribute, since by that point, one of my original hopes had been achieved: other setters had begun using the ruleset, and this tribute features variants that they themselves used in their own creations

They are DadJokes (Double Arrows), KenGlue (Kropki Lines), feethy (X-Sums), Chet Chetterson (Index Lines) and wuchta (Group Lines). Two of these puzzles have their own page here on LMD: DadJokes's and feethy's. The others are presented below as warmup puzzles, though note that KenGlue also has a 9x9 here on LMD. And in the spirit of having this page be a compendium of sorts, to be updated periodically, you can also find here the more recent 9x9's by bodemeister, and obviously, the full list of mine (here on LMD, that is – for yet more, head over to Discord!)

RULES

DOPPELGANGER
– Every row, column, and box contains the digit 0 always, as well as eight out of the nine digits from 1 to 9 (ie, it's missing one digit that is not 0)
– No two row, no two column, and no two box may be missing the same digit
– For each 0 in the grid, the digits missing in its row, its column, and its box must be three different digits (yet zeros always have a null value)

DOUBLE ARROWS
– The sum of the digits along each grey line connecting two circles is equal to the sum of the digits in these circles
– Digits may repeat on double arrows if allowed by other rules

GROUP LINES
– Numbers on an orange line are the same type: either all even or all odd (0 is even)

INDEX LINES
– Each cell on a light blue line has a position number: the square is position 0, and it counts up from there
– If a digit with value V is at position P, then a digit with value P must be at position V

KROPKI LINES
– Adjacent digits along a purple line must be in a 1:2 ratio

X-SUMS
– Clues outside the grid show the sum of the first X digits from that direction, where X is the first of those digits

Fun puzzle as always! This is the first time you haven't really made me think hard on a puzzle, possibly because I've already been considering x-sums for my chaos construction doppelganger puzzle. But definitely enjoyable for sure!
..................
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed (and did you check the ring on that one hehe -- this happened purely by accident, and you'd asked me before I checked during your puzzle, I'd have thought this was impossible)
About the CC, please don't feel any obligation, especially if it clashes with your workload. We could continue the conversation should we get in the thick of things, but I trust in wullemuus! XD
----------------
I'm midway through your CC. Trying to determine if 9 can appear in row 3, or more generally if a digit can appear in every row of a region that does not contain that digit. Also feel I'm close to figuring out some 7's and 8's.
Regarding the Phistomefel Ring, you were asking if I noticed that the digits in the Phistomefel Ring match the digits in the corners for this puzzle?

Gorgeous (and generous) logical path. I know I tried this a few months back and made about a dozen pencil marks before giving up - I’m glad you reposted here as it was well worth a second attempt! I particularly enjoyed the column 6 logic. Warmup puzzles were great and helped a lot. Cheers :)
.............
It's telling of your increasing mastery of the ruleset that you'd think this is the 'generous' start, as this is in fact the hard version! I had another version with extra X-Sum and Kropki Line clues! So congrats, and yet another big thanks for yet another solve on one of these puzzles :D

Loved it. Every clue interaction was pure joy.
............
Thank you very much for the solve and comment bansalsaab, I’m glad you enjoyed and thought so about all the different variants used here – I feared maybe the Kropki Lines were maybe a bit sparse, but then again, they’re the most powerful, so I guess it was for the best in the end. Thanks again!

Congrats to this special puzzle (for the reasons you mentioned) and in addition: the interesting interactions between all nontrivial rulesets. Enjoyable and surprising as always!
...................
Thank you once again very much wullemuus! I greatly appreciate your support as always, to me and to the ruleset as a whole
So yes, as this milestone puzzle is saying, I got plenty more that have never been published here on LMD, so we'll see if I decide to select some more for publication, and hopefully, the other setters will continue to use the ruleset. I know that The Book Wyrm has voiced interest too in creating some, and incidentally, I'm sure you'd like her puzzles very much! (I'm just starting to discover them myself :-)
