(Eingestellt am 20. März 2023, 20:46 Uhr von heliopolix )

This is the second puzzle in the Black Hole series. I'd love to hear your thoughts about the puzzle.

Thanks to ryagami and scojo486 for testing and feedback.

Black Hole Series

  1. Tachyons and Black Holes (Ransk Solve)
  2. Quasar Accretion Disc (Ransk Solve)
  3. Corotating Photon Sphere (Ransk Solve)
  4. Information Paradox
  5. Manifold Paths
  6. The Colour out of Space

This puzzle is very different from the other black hole puzzles. It is also the hardest puzzle I've ever set.

Completing this puzzle involves: shading some cells, doing some arrow sum and between line logic with double-value and zero-value cells, as well as using a classic sudoku technique repeatedly.

Rules:

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Place nine "black holes" and nine "white holes" in the grid, such that there is one hole of each type in every row, column, and box. Black and white holes cannot occupy the same cell. Digits cannot repeat within holes of the same type. Black holes have a value of zero and white holes have a value equal to double their digit.

Clues with arrows outside the grid point at black holes. Cells along the pointed diagonal must contain one or more black holes. Cells along the pointed diagonal must not contain any white holes. Not all pointers are given.

Standard kropki pairs rules: Cells adjacent to a white dot have consecutive values. Not all dots are given.

Standard between lines rules: Cell values on a between line must be strictly between the values in the bulb ends.

Standard arrow rules: Cell values on an arrow line must sum to the value in the bulb.

Standard odd rules: Cells with a gray circle must have an odd value.

A bulb may be both a between line bulb and an arrow bulb, and it may also contain a gray circle.

A line is either a between line or an arrow, never both (the between lines in rows 3 and 7 do not connect to r5c5). Digits may repeat on a line if allowed by other rules.

Comments are always welcome. Have fun!

Streamers have permission to use this puzzle. Recommended betting cell is r5c6.

I made sooo many mistakes on this one that required rewinding. Very tricky but also very cool.

Updated puzzle image to clarify ambiguity in between-line bulbs, arrow bulbs, and gray circles in the original puzzle image.

Rules clarification: The bulbs on the between lines don't necessarily have odd values. They're only gray because that's how they appear on the f-puzzles setting tool. The "true" gray circles are r1c2 and r5c5.
