Hi ! This puzzle is a continuation of the rule I presented in Fahrenheit 451
You can try it out if you want !
Here your goal is to stop the connection between the lightning towers with a pair of agents (digits).

RULES :

Normal sudoku rules apply.

**Set of rules 1**

Purple diamonds are lightning towers. They spread lightning in straight lines orthogonally and diagonally (at 45° only in all direction : NE, SE, SW, NW), and the lightning cannot turn. No two towers can be connected. You must place a pair of agents next to each other orthogonally (always the two same digits) to intercept and block the lightning between two towers. An agent without its pair is ineffective. Agents cannot be placed on lightning towers or inside killer cages, effective or not.

**Set of rules 2**

Digits in a killer cage cannot repeat and must sum to the indicated value in the top-left corner.
Clues outside the grid indicate the sum of the digits between 1 and 9 in the indicated row or column.
The letters correspond to a value to be determined by the solver, where A-B-C-D-E = 0 (minus sign).

**Between lines**

Digits along a between line must be between the digits on the circled ends of the line.

You can play it in SudokuPad : https://sudokupad.app/trkq7yrbjw

If there's anything you are not sure to understand don't hesitate to ask ! Enjoy :)

Another amazing puzzle, especially loved the logic regarding the sandwich sums and the deductions of the values. Thank you for creating and sharing this! ^_^

I didn't quite understand the "agent" thing. Where should I place them to make them effective?
----
They have to be beside each other orthogonally, so they share 1 adjacent side, they touch -- Nelyn
