Flashlights - parity puzzle

(Published on 23. August 2026, 21:11 by Killer Joe)

Hello.

I really like the lighthouse ruleset, so I wanted to revisit Parity Lighthouse, but this time make sure there’s no ambiguity regarding the break-in. Although it is one of my lower-rated puzzles, Parity Lighthouse is still one of my personal favorites.

Normal sudoku rules apply.

A digit placed in a circle indicates how many digits of the same parity (odd or even) it sees in its row and column, including itself, where other parities block vision.

Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive.

Digits separated by a black dot means one digit is double the other.

Have fun.

Solution code: Row 9, first 6 digits.

Very interesting puzzle. I like the ruleset - short and clear. However, at one point, I got stuck and, for lack of better ideas, decided to "branch" the solution process. I'm pretty sure I missed something. Thank you!

Really nice puzzle. Took me a bit to get going, but once it clicked it was a smooth solve.
