(Published on 14. January 2026, 22:23 by galium_odoratum)

This time again a more approachable entry to the series. Have fun!

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Even anti-knight: An even digit cannot see any other even digit by knights move.

German whisper: Adjacent digits on a green line must differ by at least 5.

Grey circles: Digits in a cell with a grey circle must be odd.

Thermometer: Digits along a thermo must strictly increase from the bulb.

Dynamic fog: Some areas are covered by fog. Fog will lift when needed.

Novel concept for a puzzle, the beginning was pretty difficult but the midgame was very smooth

the amount of bifurcation required to even BEGIN to get a handle on this puzzle puts it beyond level 2.
but even then, there STILL is nothing to "bite on" ... definitely not level 2

-I appreciate the feedback. For the intended solving path there is no bifurcation needed. I agree, that the difficulty ratings on this site are made by and for very experienced solvers (like phisto ring puzzles getting only a 2*) and thus often strongly underestimate the true difficulty for less experienced solvers. I hope you still had some fun :)

Had to restart once when I think I had mixed up two areas with mistakenly using the same coloring, but they were opposite, so one was reversed from the other and when they collided, contradictions everywhere.

Second try, I had the whole grid colored and pencil marked before I could determine a single digit (other than the 5s)

Love puzzles where I get to solve in the abstract like this one!
