This sudoku advent calendar contains 24 variants that were included in my Sudoku Variants Series (SVS) but turned out to be too hard to be solved by a wide range of puzzlers. I aim for difficulties of 1-2 stars and have written some general and/or specific hints as well. I hope some players will try the original SVS puzzle #310 after solving the advent version.
Sum Triplets
Specific hint for this puzzle:
The positions of the sums of 24 and 6 can be determined straight away.
Apply classic sudoku rules.
Clues outside the grid indicate the sum of the triplet (three connected cells in a straight line) in one of the three 3x3 blocks in the corresponding row or column.
Interesting fact: If the 11 of R7 is placed in the left block, the sum of R9C123 is 10 and there is no place left for a sum of 9 in R9.
Solution code: Column 9

That was pretty neat! I had a false start where I misread the rules as the triplet being able to show up *anywhere* in the row/column, rather than just in line with the boxes. That would've been much, much harder!

Funny constrain. Thx for sharing.
@Sudonym: Please, don't spoil any solutions or post them at least as a hidden answer.

That was nice. I especially like the disambiguation at the finish. Thanks.
