Difference Diamonds

Rules:

  • Normal sudoku rules apply, but using the digits 0-8.
  • Each pair of adjacent digits on a turquoise line have the same difference. This difference must be determined for each line.
  • If there is a diamond present, its digit indicates the difference value of the line. Not all possible diamonds are necessarily given.
  • In this puzzle, no two diamonds contain the same digit.

This one went surprisingly easily, 11 mins is the fastest I've ever done a Marty Sears puzzle I think, I guess somehow the logic worked perfectly for my mind.

Also this was the 99th Marty puzzle I solved, so that may have helped too...

I can't believe I missed this puzzle the first time go round; beautiful entry! I really enjoy Different Difference puzzles I think specifically because it makes you consider candidate cells more than just the usual geometry of sudoku.

Excellent puzzle, I loved the layout and relationships between lines! The break-in was a little challenging for me, but after that it was smooth sailing and enjoyable throughout.
