Multiple Lies

(Published on 4. November 2026, 18:41 by marty_sears)

Rules:

Normal sudoku rules apply.

LIAR CELLS: Every row, column and 3x3 box contains one liar cell, whose real value is different from its digit.

• Every liar cell contains a different digit from 1-9.
• Every liar cell has a different value from 1-9.

MULTIPLE LINES: For two adjacent cells along a blue 'multiple' line, one value can be divided by the other to give an exact integer (one is a multiple of the other.)

BLACK DOTS: If a black dot sits between two cells, the value of one is double the value of the other.

X: If an X sits between two cells, their values sum to 10.

NOTES: In each blue arrow, enter the liar digit for its row, and in the circle to its right, write its real value.

Solution code: VALUES in row 9 from left to right

Missed the obvious word play: Multip-Lies.

Marty: All the titles in the series are wordplay :p

Very nice and after the clever break-in not too hard. Thanks!

The break-in in this episode is just top tier! I felt so incredibly clever when I found it! Thank you, Marty :)

The 3 long lines were tempting enough to think about, and once I did it started falling together and kept going. Lots of fun deductions and managed to solve it.

Amazing how tricky these lines can be when liar cells are involved. I had to backtrack a few times after making some logical errors, but it was very satisfying to get it right after all. Looking forward for the coming li(n)es
