Conway Criterion

This puzzle was set for a weekly Scojo setting prompt. I hope you enjoy it!

• Shade some cells in the grid so that groups of shaded cells form pentominoes. Distinct pentominoes may not share edges.
• Each pentomino shape (shown to the right of the grid) may be used at most once, where rotations and reflections are considered the same shape.
• Battenberg markings indicate that the surrounding 2x2 area forms a checkerboard pattern of shaded and unshaded cells. All battenberg markings are given.

A practice puzzle (with tetrominoes instead of pentominoes) to clarify the rules if needed.
