Recently I've been hooked on making Sudoku puzzles inspired by the mystery stories I read. The idea behind this one is simply that I noticed there are too many red-green colour-blind suspects in mystery stories. The difficulty is probably around 3.5*. Many thanks to cyddrdrd for testing!
Rules:
- Normal Sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1–9 once each in every row, column, and 3x3 box.
- Grey lines:
- A grey line is either a Parity line or a German Whisper line, to be deduced by the solver.
- Digits along a grey line CANNOT repeat.
- Parity lines: Adjacent digits along a red line must alternate between odd and even.
- German Whispers: Adjacent digits along a green line must differ by at least 5.
