I’ve previously made a couple of chaos construction puzzles where circled digits counted the region-border edges around their cells. Those puzzles received mixed reviews, but solving a few recent slitherlink puzzles inspired me to revisit the idea - this time counting the eight surrounding dots touched by region boundaries instead. I think this ruleset leads to some interesting new logic. Hope you enjoy!
Chaos Construction: Divide the grid into nine orthogonally connected regions of nine cells. Each row, column and region contains the digits 1–9 once each.
Global Entropy: Every 2×2 contains at least one digit from each group: 1–3, 4–6 and 7–9.
Circles: Every cell is surrounded by eight dots. A digit in a circle indicates how many of its cell’s dots lie on a region boundary. The outer border of the grid counts as a region boundary. Count each dot once, even if multiple boundaries meet there.
Black Kropki: If two digits are joined by a black dot, one is double the other.
Lösungscode: The lengths of the continuous groups of cells belonging to the same region in column 7, from top to bottom. Enter a new number whenever a region border is crossed.
