Here's my take on combining chaos construction with a jigsaw puzzle.
Chaos Deconstruction:
Complete the left-hand grid and divide it into nine pieces, each consisting of nine orthogonally connected cells.
Each piece must contain 1–9 exactly once.
Digits may repeat in rows and columns of the left-hand grid.
Chaos Reconstruction:
Put all nine pieces together in the right-hand grid, with no gaps or overlaps.
Each piece must retain its shape and the positions of its digits within it.
Pieces may only be translated, not rotated or reflected.
Every row and column of the right-hand grid must contain 1–9 exactly once.
Region Sum Lines:
Piece boundaries divide each blue line into at least two segments with equal sums. Separate segments within the same piece are summed separately. Different lines may have different sums.
The 6×6 example below illustrates chaos deconstruction and reconstruction.
From left to right: the starting grid, its division into six pieces, and the final arrangement.
I hope you enjoy the puzzle! I'd love to hear your thoughts.
