Normal sudoku rules apply.
Shade some cells such that all shaded cells are orthogonally connected, all unshaded cells are orthogonally connected, and no 2x2 cluster of cells is entirely shaded or unshaded. Every orthogonal path that is fully contained within shaded cells must increase or decrease, with 1 and 9 reversing the direction.
A digit on an arrow indicates how many shaded cells are in the direction of the arrow, not including the arrow cell.
Digits separated by an X sum to 10.
