I did have an earlier attempt at trying to make my first variantless sudoku, which did not go as well as I thought. Apparently I wished to include a not so obvious step which destroyed the mood of the puzzle. Hence this time, I edited it to keep it as simple and enjoyable as possible. The main goal was to make this a very easy puzzle.

I apologize for including a difficult step midway into the puzzle, for it destroyed the simplicity of it all. Personally I wanted to make the puzzle simple but also utilize the fog, but I should keep it simple and smooth for enjoyment. Apologies for the earlier puzzle, this is a learning experience for me as a sudoku setter, and I will try to keep this aspect in mind next time.

If you still want to give it a shot, there are some nice steps here and there. I also feel like this puzzle is a great way to introduce a beginner to applying the sudoku tricks they may know, so you may share it to any of your friends who are just starting sudoku.

• Classic Sudoku: Place the digits 1 to 9 in every row, column, and 3x3 box without repetition.
• Fog of War: This Sudoku is partially covered in fog. Entering correct digits will clear out fog from other cells.
