The rules:
Normal sudoku rules
DO NOT apply
Somedoku Deconstruction:
Contained within the grid are nine non-overlapping 3x3 square regions, which must be located.
Those 9 regions, when turned into a 9x9 grid, make a valid somedoku.
Note: the regions are placed in reading order, so the middle region in r3 becomes r123c456 of the somedoku, the rightmost region of r9 becomes r789c789, etc)
Somedoku: Fill every cell with a digit from 1-9. Digits may (and indeed must) repeat in some rows/columns. In each row N (row 1 at the top to row 9 at the bottom), there are exactly N different digits. In each column N (column 1 on the left to column 9 on the right), there are exactly N different digits.
Cells outside regions do not contain digits.
X-Sums: Clues outside the grid give the sum of any digits in the first X cells from the direction of the clue, where X is the first digit in that direction. Cells outside regions have no value. e.g. a clue of 12 could be satisfied by 623xx1 or x5241 or xxxx912xx
Region sum lines: On solid blue lines, the sum of digits on the line is equal in each region the line appears in. Different lines may have different sums.
Note: Lines do not have to appear in multiple regions. They could also appear in just one region, or no regions at all.
German Whispers: On hollow green lines, adjacent digits have values that differ by at least 5.
Kropki: Digits separated by a black dot have a 1:2 ratio, meaning one is exactly double the other. Not all dots are necessarily given.
Important:: Along lines and dots, empty cells are ignored, and the digits either side of the empty cells are still considered adjacent on the line.
So a whisper of 1xxx7 would be valid, because 1 and 7 have a difference of at least 5. 94x83 would be invalid, because 4 and 8 only have a difference of 4.
A kropki that includes an empty cell becomes just a dot, and doesn't constrain digits in any way.
