German Christmas Tree
(Published on 25. September 2026, 08:28 by Babsi132)
As the Christmas Snacks start piling in the supermarket again, the first Christmas tree puzzle hits your eye.
Normal Sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1-9 once in every row, column and 3x3 box.
Along the tree's greenery, neighboring digits must differ by at least 5 (
German Whisper).
The digits on its stem strictly grow from the bulb/root up (
Thermometer).
The decorative purple Christmas bulbs show rather rare digits, that are placed in one of the surrounding 4 cells (
Quadruples).
For all CTC fans and those to become one, I packed
a 3 in the corner as an early present!
Have fun decorating the Christmas tree (on Sudokupad)!
I hope this works as an easy introduction to German Whispers!

I needed the CTC reference to finish the solve, not sure it's needed for the final solution?
