Compartmentalised

Wow Lake, are you obsessed with Marty or something? Why are your latest two puzzles all about him? Fan boy I hear you cry!

Well, you've seen a few of these being posted already, this was for the yearly impostor prompt where I was given the very scary but also very very fun role of impersonating Marty, and this is the bad boy I came up with. Yeah, they gave me a guy who is renowned for his cosmetic prowess.

I saw that he's on a bit of an Isofill kick, so wanted to have a crack at making one myself as I don't do much outside of Sudoku. I'm very proud of what I managed to create!... Where's my "me" puzzle I hear you ask? uhhh... I kinda need to work on making that friendly for LMD.

Did I win?..... uh... in my heart I did! Make sure to check out Marty's real Ying Yang Yogn puzzle

Rules:
  • ISOFILL: Divide the grid into 10 regions, each with 10 orthogonally connected cells. Every cell in a region should contain the same digit. All of the digits 0-9 must appear in the grid.
  • CAGES: All cages sum to the same total.
  • WHITE DOTS: If two digits are joined by a white dot, they are consecutive.

Enjoy!

Solution code: If it's not too much trouble please could I grab row 7 off of you? (Reminder to myself there's 10 rows so don't miscount)

Fun, accessible, and the logic felt very much like a Marty puzzle to me

What a fun puzzle! Quite enjoyed the logic regarding the numbers available to sum up to the total in cages, I think you captured his style quite nicely :D (also love how the solution code prompt is so polite haha)

First class, sir! Certainly not 2* for me, but we need not discuss the quality of setting here - brilliant!

Great puzzle! I would have definitely believed that it was authored by Marty.

This is some top notch impersonating, especially the little drop shadows on the kropkis.

Proud of myself for doing this in 22:00, I think you managed imitating Sears' style quite beautifully!!

Thank you very much for creating and sharing this absolutely fantastic puzzle-fake. This IS Sears‘ style, for sure!

This was great! Not only a lovely isofill puzzle in its own right, but also a very nice impersonation of my style and the kind of logic I enjoy. Even the choice of having all the cages be the same total, and drawing them in yourself rather than using the standard cage design. Very smooth and slick. I was looking forward to seeing what my impostor would do, and this really delivered
