This is my first published puzzle. I've tried to create a new rule that brings forth an interesting pattern. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Rules

  • Normal Sudoku rules apply.
  • Shade a digit in each row, column, diagonal, box, and relative position (in the box) such that for each shaded digit D in column C, row R, box B, position P either D=C=R=B=P OR D≠C≠R≠B≠P, i.e. D, C, R, B, P are either all the same or are all different. (The boxes and the relative positions are numbered starting from the top-left corner, moving left to right, row by row.)
  • Shaded cells form a complete set of the digits 1-9.
  • Digits do not repeat along the marked diagonals.
  • Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive.
  • Digits separated by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio.

this puzzle was quite enjoyable, thanks! I felt that discovering the shaded digits required a bit tedious work, but it was quite smooth after that. Couldn't really decide if it's 2* or 3* but it feels closer to a 3.

Does D≠C≠R≠B≠P mean that D, C, R, B and P are all different or just that D≠C and C≠R and R≠B and B≠P?
