Setting Things Straight

(Eingestellt am 27. August 2026, 21:11 Uhr von Jrosas)

INTRODUCTION: My first puzzle with this rule set is called “Yin Yang +/-1”. It may be easiest to start with that puzzle. I posted a second puzzle with the same rule set but after 16 solves here on Logic Masters I was made aware that there are missing lines in the grid that make the negative constraint false. I tried fixing the puzzle but it became so simple I am not happy with it. My apologies to those who “solved” that one. I have checked and re-checked this one several times and am confident it is solvable under the rules given..

RULES:

Ordinary Sudoku rules. Place the digits 1 to 9 in every row, column and 3x3 bold outlined box..

Ordinary yin Yang rules. The grid is divided into exactly two regions of orthogonally connected cells. No 2x2 square of cells is entirely in either region.

+/-1 lines: adjacent cells along a line share differ by 1 and share their yin Yang region. ALL possible lines are given.

Counting circles: There are 12 circles in the grid. A digit in a circle indicates how many circles contain that digit and a circled digit in a cell in a yin Yang region indicates how many cells in that yin Yang region contain the digit. ALL possible circles are given.

Dynamic Fog: one cell is covered in fog. Placing a correct digit in a particular cell will clear the fog and reveal a given digit.
