Galaxies Collide (Again!)

(Eingestellt am 13. August 2026, 15:50 Uhr von marty_sears)

For Dorlir's birthday I have made a sequel to our collab 'Galaxies Collide'.

    Rules:

Divide the grid into two galaxies of orthogonally connected cells. No 2x2 area may be completely within one galaxy. Both galaxies must be rotationally symmetrical through 180°.

A digit in a green circle indicates how many cells in its sudoku box are in its galaxy.

A digit in a red square indicates how many cells in its sudoku box are NOT in its galaxy.

One of the two galaxies is special. In that galaxy, for any two orthogonally adjacent cells, dividing one digit by the other always gives an exact integer (one is a multiple of the other.)

Lösungscode: Column 9 reading downwards

Just lovely and long enough gap for a sequel that I had completely forgotten every bit of logic and got to discover it all over again!

Marty, I don't know how you do it, but your puzzles are always so great! As always, a highly recommended and a beautiful solve!

Tough but fair. I did the original before solving this one (with a bit of help from CtC), which helped a lot with the initial findings, of course.
Still, 4 stars for me.
Oh, and a belated happy birthday to Dorlir!

I think I found this tougher than other solvers. I made a major logical error around the midpoint and it was a gnarly beast to unravel, as is always the case when backtracking in these coloring puzzles with such narrow deductions made along the way. With that said… more please!

Thank you very much for this puzzle you made for my birthday I enjoyed from start to finish and was quite challenging and really enjoyed the minimality of the clues which is quite nice and powerful. Thank you again and can't wait for other puzzles in future with what you will come up.

Phenomenal puzzle! Probably 4 stars, but I had an easier time of it knowing some tricks

Beautiful puzzle! I really enjoyed the break-in and middle game, some very neat deductions that make the solver feel clever.
