“A digit may show one face, while its value shows another.”
Set by James Cullum
Rules

1. Sudoku: Place the digits 1–9 in every row, column, and 3×3 box without repetition.

2. RATIO ARROWS Each circled bulb contains a normal Sudoku digit d. Its effective VALUE is the sum of the digits on its arrow shaft. That VALUE is either d ÷ 2 or 2d.

circle digit = d
VALUE = sum of shaft digits
VALUE = d/2  or  2d

3. VALUE SANDWICHES Digits 1 and 9 are the bread and are not included in the sum. Every cell strictly between them contributes its VALUE.

An ordinary cell has VALUE equal to its digit. If a ratio-arrow circle lies between the 1 and 9, it contributes its effective arrow VALUE instead of the digit written in the circle.

4. RENBAN Digits along each renban line form a set of consecutive digits, in any order, with no repeats on the line.
