As the title suggests, this puzzle is a mixture of crossword and sudoku. I don't often write cryptic clues, so hopefully I've not made these too obscure! As always I appreciate any feedback. Happy solving!

Once you solve the crossword, convert the letters into digits using a mod-9 alphanumeric code, such that A=1, B=2, and Z=8.
