Today we have German Sums puzzle created for Scojo's prompt, as redeemed by gdc, to create an approachable Chaos Construction puzzle :-)
My inspiration for this puzzle was Ascending From Chaos by sujoyku.
According to testers, the puzzle is somewhere between high 2* and low 3*.
I hope you will enjoy and I would be really grateful for all the comments and ratings.
Chaos Construction: Divide the grid into seven orthogonally connected seven-cell regions, and place the digits 1-7 exactly once in each row, each column and each region.
7x7 German Sums: A clue outside the grid gives the sum of all continuously adjacent digits with a difference of at least 4 up to (and not including) the first digit with a difference of 3 or less in that row or column from the direction of the clue. A digit in the first cell is always included in the sum.
For example, if row 1 is 7435162, then the sum would be 7 from the left side and 14 (2+6+1+5) from the right side.
Region Building: For each clue, all the digits contributing to its sum must belong to the same region, and the first digit not contributing to its sum must belong to a different region.
If you liked this puzzle, I recommend trying out my other puzzles: The Erica Series:Lösungscode: Second (2nd) row of the grid from left to right (with the symbol "/" marking borders between regions, e.g., 1/23/456/7).

I struggled with this for a while because I hadn’t fully comprehend the rule that the first digit after the region break must be 3 or less different.

Wonderful - but I found it very tricky for 90% of it. Great setting.

Very nice! I managed to misread the instructions so it took me longer than it should have, but still very fun and intuitive. Only one thing... shouldn't the constraint be called Dutch Sums?
SK: Thank you for solving! :-) If it was 9x9, then yes, but in 7x7 German Whispers have difference of at least 4, the difference varies between different grid sizes.

Very nice, though for me trickier than sujoyku so giving a 3*.
