I'm very surprised by the difficulty rating, honestly. I found the puzzle to be very easy, and that usually is not the case for 2 start puzzles for me. I did not even need to use about half of the rules, it felt like, and I solved it in under 10 mins.

Solved it without the consecutive rule, the highest digit rule, and end of lines rule

Well, that was a bit frustrating to solve in the end since some of the rules are unclear / missing. My guess is that the Tan line is classic 'Region Sum Line' plus the extra rules stated in 2. This resolves the otherwise deadly pattern other solvers apparantly also had issues with.

I wasn't sure what the second half of rule 5 meant. Turns out I didn't need to use it in the end. finished in 11:13

I had an issue with the final pair of digits in r7c2/r9c2/r7c5/r9c5.

Nooo.... 30 mins and 5 seconds

I apologize, the crust is a region sum line. I will update the rules to be more clear.

16 minutes... Solved very smoothly with no 'deadly pattern'...

Took me just over 30 minutes and I also got a deadly pattern in the end :-/

Solved it in under 30, but did anyone else end up with a weird deadly pattern at the end that they just had to guess? I can't figure out for the life of me if I've misread the rules or what, but one digit of the deadly pattern was on a center digit of a crust segment, so there was no possibility of it being the same as a consecutive digit on the crust. I'm confused lol, send help.

27:04 It did live up to its promise.
