Parity Loop Quest #9
(Published on 11. July 2026, 03:49 by Vythic)
Play on SudokuPad!
Normal sudoku rules apply.
Parity Pivot Loop: Form a one-cell-wide loop that moves through the grid orthogonally. The loop does not touch itself, not even diagonally. A loop cell is an odd digit if the loop moves straight through it, and is an even digit if the loop does a 90 degree turn at its location.
Loop Descension Arrows: Digits along an arrow sum to the digit in the circled cell, and they must descend away from the circle (digits cannot repeat). The digit on an arrow's pointer indicates how many loop cells are in the direction of the arrow, not counting the arrow cell.
Loop Parity Lines: Every cell on a red line is a loop cell, except one red line has no loop cells. Any two cells connected by a red line contain one even and one odd digit.
Example of a valid loop shape (the white cells inside the loop cannot be cut off from each other, and a 2x2 block of cells cannot all be loop cells):
(Puzzles throughout this series use the same loop rules, and visually identical elements have the same meaning).
Solution code: Row 9

Great addition. Another idea of great constraint interactions thx.
