Looking Over Your Left Shoulder

(Published on 5. July 2026, 16:36 by billybeth)

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

The number diagonally adjacent in the north-east direction of any cell is that cell's digit plus three. If that resulting sum contains two digits then these digits are added together.

The sum of one of the main diagonals is double the sum of the other and the larger diagonal starts (reading left to right) with an even number.

(Betelgeuse Version: here the number is three higher over the right shoulder ie north-west direction, and the diagonal is read right to left and the solution code is the top row read right to left. Of course turn the grid by 270 degrees clockwise before starting!)

Very creative indeed. In honor of the last years of Betelgeuse, please release a version where we look over the western shoulder.
Great idea - see new rules, thanks billybeth

I stared at the empty field for a very long time and couldn't understand how it was possible. But after doing a few calculations, I came to a solution. The idea is brilliant and clearly higher than a 1-star rating.
