FORTRESS FILLOMINO:
• Divide the grid into orthogonally connected regions and fill each cell with a number (not necessarily single-digit) showing the number of cells in the region to which it belongs;
• Each region must be either strictly larger than all of its orthogonal neighbours or strictly smaller than all of its orthogonal neighbours.
• If the region is a 2-digit number, only fill the units digit for answer check.

REGION BORDER LOTS:
• There are purple lines with diamond symbols placed along them. The digit that is placed in a cell with a diamond will count the number of cells along that line that have region borders arranged in the same shape as the diamond's black edges (regardless of how that shape is oriented).
• The grid edge counts as a region border.

Solution code: Units digits in column 8 from top to bottom (9 digits total)

Now I’m hooked on these! Excited to see there are many more ahead.

Top tip, don't misread the rules, and then never check them again. I foolishly thought the borders of the cell with the diamond provided the border shape for the count, and never noticed the differences in the graphics. I've opened this several times, got nowhere, finally reread the rules and made far lighter work of it - haha! Very nice puzzle!
