Indexer Cells: Every row, column and box has 2 indexer cells, one indexing in the row and the other in the column. The digit in an indexer cell indicates the position of the other indexer cell in the row or column. Positions are counted left to right in the rows and top to bottom in the columns. The value of an indexer cell is itself plus the digit in the cell it indexes. Two indexers of the same type that are consecutive in a cycle have to differ by at least 2.

Box borders divide the blue lines into segments of equal sum. Different lines can have different sums.

Values in a cage sum to the given total. The gray circle is an odd DIGIT. An inequality sign points to the smaller value.

Lösungscode: Column 3, top to bottom, put the indexers like this: (0)

Can you explain and give an example of 'indexers of the same type that are consecutive in a cycle'? Since each row and column has one of each type, a row indexer has to point to a column indexer which has to point to a row indexer, and so on. What am I missing?

Reply: Indexers form one cycle (all indexers are part of it) or multiple cycles around the grid. If this is a cycle: (6) [5] (7) [9] (1) [8], where () is column indexers and [] is row indexers, then the rules are broken because the first 2 column indexers have a difference of 1 and the last 2 row indexers have a difference of 1.
