Schrödinger's 44tune

(Published on 20. June 2026, 19:08 by Aradia :3)

"Sudoku" : fill the grid with the digits 1-9 (plus an additional 4) in each row, column, and box
Schrödinger : each row column and box has a schrödinger cell, which contains 2 digits, and whose value is equal to the sum of those digits. (schrödinger cells should be left empty for answer checking) the digits in each row's schrödinger cell are in the corresponding pill, with smaller digits coming first. Each Schrödinger cell has a unique combination of digits.
Killer cages : cells in killer cages sum to the number in the cages's top right.
Kropki dots: values separated by a black dot have a 2:1 ratio (ex: 8 and 16), and values separated by a white dot are consecutive (ex: 6 and 7)

This puzzle mostly exists because I think making normally impossible clue patterns is fun. I hope you enjoy!

Nice one, thanks. Easy to get caught out by all those 4s!

@prismic911: I didn't solve the puzzle yet. But i found a solution for the last row. So... yes you are missing something.

@prismic911 the bottom row would be impossible to fill in a normal sudoku, but the Schrödinger cell and additional 4 mean that there is quite a bit of freedom with what can be put on a black dot.
(if you need a hint, I'll point out that there is exactly one way to arrange the digits that typically don't fit on a black dot in a way that does.)

I found that it is impossible to fill the last row.
