(Published on 17. June 2026, 16:06 by Enchanter73)
This is the fifth puzzle in my series of 6x6 global entropy puzzles. You can try the previous puzzles here:
1. Double Entropy
2. Entropic Arrows
3. Killer Entropy
4. Entropic Dots
RULES:
Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1-6 once each in every row, column and 2x3 box.
Global entropy: Each 2x2 area in the grid must contain at least one digit from each of the three entropic sets: {1,2}, {3,4}, {5,6}.
Thermometer: Digits along a thermometer increase from bulb to tip.

Doing the previous puzzles in the set probably helped, but 5:05 suggests solid 1* and one of the easier puzzles from this set. No bifurcation required.
Thanks for setting.

Even when you know the little trick behind what this ruleset implicates (something I don't expect a 1* solver will know), it is still a bit rough.
Definitely NOT a 1*

Took me *way* longer than I'd like to admit to see one tiny deduction.

Took me almost a full hour of grueling bifurcation, with no insight at any point at the intended solving path. whatever the trick to this one is, it's not 1*
