New Chess Rules
9s are Queens and 1s are Kings. Even digits are pawns and the rest empty chess squares. If any Queen sees any King in any direction including diagonally then that is checkmate and not allowed. A pawn in the way stops the check.
Killer cages sum to the number shown.
A grey circle is an odd digit. A grey square is an even digit.
[Normal king’s move restrictions do not apply.]

excellent execution - at first glance i was worried the cages were overdone and would make it too easy but it was just right.
