Rules:
Chaos Construction Sudoku: Place the digits 1-6 once each in every row and column. Additionally, create six 6-cell regions of orthogonally connected cells, each of which contains the digits 1-6.
Region Border Lots: There are purple lines with diamond symbols placed along them. The digit that is placed in a cell with a diamond will count the number of cells along that line that have region borders arranged in the same shape as the diamond's black edges. For example, a diamond with three black edges will count the number of cells that are in the same region as exactly one of their neighbors. The grid edges count as region borders.

Solution code: Column 2 from top to bottom with a / between separating digits in different regions. E.g.: 123/4/56

Rule Clarification

Edit: thanks for the added example – that clarifies it for me! Looking forward to attempting this asap.
How do regions of square cells have diagonal edges?
Or if this is meant to just indicate general shape, how can a region have two parallel edges that are not connected. And how can a region have no borders?
If feel I am missing some insider background knowledge or some unexplained convention that prevents me from even getting started?!
Would much appreciate clarification of the border lots rule.
Or is prior knowledge of Artisan of Glimmith an intentional prerequisite?

DM: Apologies for the confusion. Region borders don't run diagonally. The symbols are are on diamonds because they count their shape, but not necessarily its orientation. I was worried that if I oriented them with the grid people might think r1c2 was only interested in cells that connect exactly to both their neighbors horizontally or exactly vertically, when in fact either orientation would contribute to the count. It's a convention that Glimmith uses, and I think it's a good one, but it seems to have added confusion of its own. I updated the rules with an example, which hopefully clarifies, but let me know if you think further clarification would be useful.

I was right, that *was* fun! Took me a bit to remember that the diamonds don't actually necessarily describe themselves.

Ah, Artisan of Glimmith! A great game, though any version after mid-March forces my laptop to restart.
This should be fun :D
