Foggy Little Cages

Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1-6 once each in every row, column and 2x3 box.
Killer: Digits in a cage may not repeat and sum to the total given in its top-left corner (the leftmost cell of the topmost row of the cage).
Dynamic Fog: The grid is partially covered in fog. Entering a correct digit clears fog in its cell, and may or may not clear fog in other cells.

maybe it's because i am still new to sudoku as a whole, but i got stuck for a while towards the end before going off on some wild coloring to make it work. probably missed something. great puzzle regardless!

How is it even possible to place the second digit, I've been stuck on it for half an hour
Edit: I see the difficulty has been revised to 2*. That makes more sense, though I still don't understand why the first dozen or so solvers think this puzzle is "very easy"
