Normal sudoku rules apply.
Look and say cages: the number in the top left of the cage is split up into pairs. Each pair should be read as 'there are X Ys in the cage'. For example, if you had a cage that was labeled '1432', there would be one of the digit 4 and three of the digit 2 in the cage.
Palindromes: digits on a grey line read the same forwards and backwards. The palindromes must contain the highest possible digits.
Kropki: digits separated by a white dot are consecutive; digits separated by a black dot are in an 1:2 ratio (i.e. one digit is double the other). ALL dots are given.

Not a good extra rule, and why does the solution code need to be so long?

Glad I didn't see the extra rule until I was left with pairs of unresolvable digits at the end. If I had seen it earlier I may have used it when I shouldn't have.

That's a weird addition to the palindrome rules to disambiguate at the end.
