announcement: back from a little time off, here’s this week’s puzzle. see you next week! B-)
rules
normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply: fill the grid with digits 1-6 so that no digit repeats in any row, column, or box.
there is a negative constraint in this puzzle
- v sums: a v between orthogonally adjacent cells indicates the digits sum to 5. all vs are given
all variant clues follow their standard meanings; full descriptions are provided below.
- friendly cells: a heart cell must contain either its row-, column- or box-number.
- black kropki dots: a black dot indicates one digit is exactly double the other. not all dots are given.

That was very fun to break through. It took pencilmarking every cell for me to finally realize just how powerful the negative constraint is in this puzzle.

Hardest of the bunch so far IMO, the negative constraint does more than I expected

I don't know if these are getting harder or I'm just not picking up the tricks to them
AaronH: I think the later ones do get a little trickier. There’s a walkthrough video linked on the page for today’s puzzle if you’re interested
Thank you, I'll check it out
