Rules

Permaculture: Divide the grid into two non-overlapping contiguous regions, one of which follows nurimisaki rules, and the other of which follows voxas rules, as given below. Each type of clue in the grid may appear in both regions; however, a thick edge (with or without dot) must have both cells it touches be in the same ruleset-region.
Nurimisaki: Shade some cells in this region. All unshaded cells in this region must connect to each other orthogonally. No 2x2 block of nurimisaki cells may be either entirely shaded or entirely unshaded. Every nurimisaki cell with a circle in it must be unshaded, and must share an edge with exactly one other unshaded nurimisaki cell. Furthermore, every unshaded nurimisaki cell which shares an edge with exactly one unshaded nurimisaki cell must have a circle in it. A thick edge (with or without dot) in the nurimisaki region must border one shaded and one unshaded cell in the nurimisaki region.
Voxas: Draw edges to fully divide this region into non-overlapping rectangles with exactly 2 or 3 cells. A thick edge in this region indicates that the cells it borders are not in the same rectangle. On a thick edge, a white dot says that the two rectangles it touches have the same area and same orientation (horizontal or vertical); a black dot says the two rectangles have different areas and different orientations; and a gray dot says the two rectangles have either same area and different orientation, or different area and same orientation. Circles inside voxas cells are allowed, but give no information.

I created this puzzle for round two of a permaculture setting tournament. This puzzle lost out to Silverbyte's excellent entry, but I had a lot of fun! Thank you to isajo4002 for organizing, and to all the judges and competitors.

Though it lost the matchup, this was still one of the smoothest puzzles of the round for me, and was quite enjoyable to solve!
