Standard Sudoku: Fill the grid with digits 1-9 such that no digit repeats in any row, column, or 3x3 box.
The Barometer: A Barometer consists of a deep orange line with a bulb at one end. The value in the bulb determines the initial pressure of the line. The line attached to the bulb must be partitioned into contiguous segments where each segment's sum increases by exactly 1 compared to the previous sum.
The first segment’s sum must be Bulb + 1. Every subsequent segment’s sum must be Previous Segment + 1.
A segment can consist of a single cell or multiple cells. The solver must determine where one segment ends and the next begins.
Example Sequence: (4)5247512. Here the bulb contains the digit 4, the first segment contains 5, the second segment contains 2+4=6, the third segment contains 7 and the fourth segment contains 5+1+2=8.

This puzzle is very nice, but way too hard for a 2 stars. I would give this 4 or even 5 stars: usually I solve 2* in 20-50 min and 3* in 50 min-2 h, this one took me over 3 hours to solve.
