For some reason whenever I look at this all I see is a bowl of soup and a spoon
Normal sudoku rules apply. Every 2x2 box must contain one digit from 1-3, one from 4-6, and one from 7-9. Digits along a thermometer must strictly increase from the bulb end.

I started solving and thought 'no way this is 5 stars I'll be done in no time!' then hit a massive roadblock about 60% through! Wonderful puzzle as always!

Very Tough, first half took 5 minutes, the rest took 55 minutes. Definitely a nice hook
