Normal sudoku rules apply. Digits 1, 2, and 3 call an emergency meeting to make a sudoku. They sit in the three blue squares and wait for the others. Four digits arrive quickly and sit in the 4 orange squares. Each of these four digits draws a non-overlapping orthogonally connected line starting from a cell on the edge of the grid and ending the digit's square. The digit in the square indicates its line's length. Adjacent digits along the line must differ by at least 4. Seven additional digits arrive late and sit in the remaining squares. Each of these digits also draws a line with the same constraints but, due to their hurry, digits along those lines are not arranged in any particular way. Every remaining cell must be visited by a line except for one cell in every region which is reserved for a potted plant. The meeting concludes with a single clue: a given digit denoted by "?". Unfortunately, it is unknown what that digit was supposed to be. However, it is known that the sudoku has a unique solution.

The length of the line is equal to the digit in the square. Adjacent digits along each line going to orange squares must differ by at least 4. In each region, place a circle in a non-square cell. Every cell except for those with a circle or a blue square must be visited by a line exactly once. "?" is a given digit of unknown value. There is a unique solution.

To clarify, the blue squares should not be visited by a line.

One question: do the blue squares need to be visited by a line (assuming they are not potted plants)?
