QQCC

(Eingestellt am 24. Februar 2026, 16:59 Uhr von mellowrobinson)

This puzzle was set for Scojo's Setting Saturdays Prompt which called for quadruple clues with duality clues. Thanks to all testers, and I hope you enjoy!

  • Divide the grid into regions so that every row, column, and region contains the digits 1-6 once each.
  • The digit in the top-left cell of a region (its leftmost cell in its highest row) is its region number. All region numbers are different.
  • N in a circle clue indicates that both region N and the digit N appear in the surrounding cells at least as many times as it is in the clue.

Very cool! I was constantly hoping to make the right deductions and not mixing up digits and rules. The more satisfying it is when it resolves. Thanks for creating and sharing!

Damn you Mellow! I swear that I had the same idea for this prompt of a CC with numbered regions that are referenced by Quad clues. You've scooped me!

Oh no, I'm sorry! :'(
You should still make one, I'd love to see it! Or make one with TRB cells instead, I was unable to pull that variation off cleanly :)

Nice flow.
I like the idea of encountering new rules in a smaller grid; lets me absorb the implications faster.
